Oakville Museums
This museum was formed in 1970 and contains a large collection of First World War combat aircraft. Some of the air craft is still in working condition and many can be seen at various air shows simulating in-air combat.
The Oakville Museum tells the story of how Oakville came to be. The museum consists of three main buildings: the Custom House, Erchless (the Chisholm family home) and the Old Post Office. The museum buildings hold artifacts and memorabilia related to the first family in the area - the Chisholm’s - and the town’s development over the years.
